So Skilled, the talent university

NCU "So Skilled" is a development programme financed by the French Research Agency as part of the PIA3 (Investing in the Future) programme led by the ComUE Paris Lumières with Paris 8 University and Paris Nanterre.

This new curriculum development project aims to encourage creativity and showcase students’ skills, and to create new flows between disciplines as well as cross-cutting skills. To place the focus on the student experience, the NCU relies on the broad selection of ECs or free modules offered by the university and the LMD4 as of September 2020, which will include the M2E and M3P modules. The EC Méthodologie de l’Expérience Etudiante M2E (Student Experience Methodology), which is available to first-year undergraduates, will focus on how to adapt to university education and the M3P module, which is offered to second- and third-year undergraduates, will take the form of workshops focusing on professional situations.

These new programmes will be supplemented by dedicated courses, including three pilot modules entitled student commitment, beekeeping and welcoming students with disabilities. Students will be able to choose from the list of free EC modules and pick a course module that suits them from the So Skilled catalogue; new options will be added every semester. This first call for projects intended to diversify our range of modules was launched on 23 September 2019.
