Since its creation in 2000, Plaine Commune has helped Paris 8 University to develop by supporting its education and research programmes. This partnership takes the form of regular events:

  • Forum des formations post-bac (Post-Baccalaureate Education Forum)
  • Savante Banlieue

Forum des formations post-bac

The Forum has one objective, namely to provide access to information — in one place — about all the higher education courses on offer in the region to pupils who have completed their high school education in order to help them choose their career path.

This Forum, created for young people in the local community, is organised by Plaine Commune with Paris 8 University and Sorbonne Paris Nord, the Academic Inspectorate, high schools from Catchment Area No.1, the Centres d’Information et d’Orientation, CNAM and SUPMECA with the support of Plaine Commune Promotion, Île-de-France region, the Prefecture de Seine-Saint-Denis and the Conseil général de la Seine-Saint-Denis.

The Forum provides young people with the opportunity to choose a course before applications need to be submitted and discover career options they may not have considered.
