Library

Paris 8 University library is open to the entire university community. It is also available as a reference library, free of charge, to all adults and high school graduates. All residents, students and professionals in Île-de-France can also borrow books at no cost.

Library

The library is housed in a spacious comfortable building in the heart of our Saint-Denis campus. Designed by the architect Pierre Riboulet, it has been a benchmark in France and abroad since its opening in 1998.

It has 400,000 print and audiovisual documents (books, newspapers, journals, theses, CDs, DVDs, etc.) organised by subject of which 250,000 are freely accessibly in the library’s reading rooms. These resources are listed in the library’s online catalogue.

The library offers online access to 50 databases, 40,000 journals and more than 300,000 e-books via its digital library Octaviana, where you can also access all the theses written by Paris 8 University students.

The resources and services offered at the library and online are listed on the library’s website.
