UR Laboratoire Psychopathologie et Processus de Changement - LPPC (Research Unit: Laboratory of Psychopathology and Processes of Change)

LPPC is a laboratory of clinical psychology and psychopathology. It focuses on psychotherapeutic practices as methods targeting psychopathologies, and divides its work between clearly defined methods of approaching processes of change in the individual or in groups.

Three themes structure this field of research with the ultimate aim of improving professional practice:

1 - Study of experiential processes

This theme is based on the study of patient knowledge, patient experiences and the narrative processes that intervene in the construction or reconstruction of the self.

2 - Study of adjustment processes

This theme is based on the study of corporeality and modified states of consciousness, such as those caused by trances, emotions and the imagination.

3 - Study of psychotherapeutic processes

This theme is based on the study of emotional regulation, clinical empathy, psychotherapeutic treatments and other healthcare practices.
