Student Associations at Paris 8 University

Student life at Paris 8 University owes its richness and diversity to the commitment of its students. Dozens of voluntary associations organise events for students, particularly at the start of the academic year. These associations liven up campus life and help students get to know each other through a range of activities, such as themed cultural events, world cuisine days, concerts, live music concerts, talks, theatre trips, exhibitions, student newspapers, singing, and much more!

Student voluntary associations play a key role in student life here at Paris 8 University. Our student associations and organisations do an amazing job providing assistance and support services to international students, students with disabilities, junior researchers and students experiencing social problems. Their work strengthens social bonds at the University and creates a sense of solidarity throughout the academic year.

The Service de la vie étudiante (Student Life Centre) is a resource centre for student associations. It provides all the information, advice and training necessary to set up, grow and run an association, and is on hand to answer questions.

  • How do I start an association?
  • What procedures do I have to follow?

The Centre can also help you to:

  • draw up the statutes of your association and submit your declaration to the prefecture
  • source funding for your project
  • find partners
  • provide you with a proof of address for the signatories of the association’s charter (more information provided at the Centre)

Feel like getting involved? Want to join an association or start one of your own? Get in touch and we can provide you with information, advice and support to carry out your project.
